B&O

Having a passion for radio technology, Peter Bang (1900-1957) built, in his early age, a radio that worked with no batteries nor accumulators. After graduating as an engineer in 1924, he met Svend Olufsen (1897-1949), and together, they made radio experiments in his parents’ property in Quistrup. This was the beginning of the company founded by both associates.

Over the next decades, the two friends jointly developed new audio products: radios, amplifiers, loudspeakers, gramophones and sound recording systems for the film industry. Their company became a major company in this field in the Danish market.

B&O, in collaboration with some renown Danish architects and designers, such as Sigvard Bernadotte, Acton Bjørn, Jakob Jensen David Lewiss, offer a range of products characterized by a stunning minimal design meant for demanding consumers looking for high quality radios, televisions and hi-fi audio systems.
