The design is clearly signed Bang & Olufsen: a mixture of aluminum and rubber, simple lines with a minimalist result. The headset that keeps the earpiece securely in the ear is actually a tiny strip of plastic. We wondered if it was enough.

There is a microphone and a remote control with three buttons directly on the connection wire. In addition to adjusting the volume and controlling playback, you can use the buttons to navigate through playlists on an iPhone / iPad / iPod.

Other than Apple, the product data sheet does not specify whether the EarSet 3i remote control is compatible with other smartphones. However, most headphones with control buttons work with both Apple and Android devices.

The suggested retail price is $199. The EarSet 3i are available in black and white.

Bang & Olufsen is taking advantage of all the interest it is getting from its BeoVision line to launch the Chanterelle model. The BeoVision 10 Chanterelle Edition is essentially a BeoVision 10 with a somewhat modified design. This special edition that has just been unveiled at the Danish Design Centre in Copenhagen.

It is the same 1080p HD screen with a 200Hz refresh rate “edge-lit” LED, and the size of the display area is 46 inches diagonally. And to prevent blur, a response time of six milliseconds works extremely well!

From a sound perspective, the speakers are hidden under the screen, which significantly reduces the size of the frame. But not to worry, a stereo system consisting of channels and a built-in subwoofer ensures premium sound quality. On each side, there is a two-inch speaker for the mids and a 3/4 tweeter.

But where the Chanterelle Edition stands out is with its colour, provided by the team of David Lewis Design Studio, which is golden, softer, less high-tech and warmer.

A set of BeoLab 6002 speakers will also be available in the same golden beige to accompany your purchase perfectly. In addition, note that each of the 500 BeoVision 10 Chanterelle televisions has its own identification number (from 1 to 500), engraved on the side of the unit. Collectors be on the alert!

The design is signed Steffen Schmelling. They say he was inspired by gently awakening to the sound of Mozart’s Magic Flute. That was all he needed to achieve a look reminiscent of a flute. Integrated in this long tube are a clock radio and a controller for other B & O devices in your house.

The three screens show the present time, the alarm time and the wake-up audio source. As soon as you touch the BeoTime, the backlight turns on the screens. Say goodbye to clock radios with an omnipresent halo of light coming from the clock on the bedside table. Now you can sleep in total darkness!

For this alarm clock, you can choose between the sound of the alarm from the BeoTime or a B & O source close by. So you can control the alarm with a B & O television or with the BeoSound, all from the BeoTime.

In addition to setting the alarm clock, you can also increase or decrease the volume, change channels, audio tracks or schedule an automatic shutdown (sleep timer) of any B & O device, in a delay of up to 120 minutes. All from a sleek brushed steel cylinder that is just over 30 cm.

With a suggested retail price of $375, it is currently one of the cheaper products from Bang & Olufsen. A nice way to familiarize yourself with the renowned Danish company.

Like all B & O products, the device is combined with a BeoLink system to link all the multimedia components, and a BeoSystem is added to that to maximize the Bang & Olufsen experience.

The slim frame of the BeoVision 4 leaves all the space for its massive screen. The stylized base and the BeoLab 10 triangular speaker gives this technological marvel a unique look.

The BeoVision 4 plasma screen will never lose its vibrant colour: the Automatic Colour Management system is an external sensor that analyzes the colour of your TV every 100 hours to calibrate the contrast and colour. In addition, the Automatic Picture Control automatically measures the brightness of the room to adapt it to the screen brightness. Universal remote controls are often full of complex codes and colours, or cluttered with information labeling each button. One single button to control the television, the DVD player and the A/V receptor makes it complicated. With the Beo6, depending on the device that is being controlled, only the related functions are adjustable and clearly indicated on the touch screen (including logos of TV channels!). From a technical point of view, the BeoSound 8 has 2 conical speakers surrounded by an elegant circle of aluminum. They consist of a 5-inch woofer and a tweeter which is a little smaller than one inch. The frequency response is 38 Hz to 20,000 Hz .  There is a mini USB connection on the device as well as an auxiliary jack. It is also capable of receiving Apple Airport Express signals to play, wirelessly, music stored on a computer.

The performance of the speakers can be adjusted according to the room and the positioning of the BeoSound 8. ABL (Adaptive Bass Linearization) is the technology used to adjust the frequency equalizers and to increase the bass level in particular.

BeoSound 8 is available in black and white. As for the speakers, they can be covered with a coloured disk (yellow, green, purple, etc.) to integrate the BeoSound perfectly into your decor. It can be installed on a wall or simply placed on its footings. The BeoVision 10 LED line already included 40 and 46-inch screens. Incidentally, it is the first time that Bang & Olufsen unveils three products from the same group in the same year. The 10-32 complements a line that is already very popular with customers, and is aimed at more budget oriented clients or those looking for a smaller screen.

Specifications are the same for the 10-40 and 10-46 models. However, on a design note, different colour removable panels were added to match the surrounding decor. This way, you can literally make the TV frame disappear on a blue wall with the right colour panels.

Black, white, grey, silver, blue and orange are the colours available. There is also another frame in reflective aluminum, designed to create an interesting optical illusion. The thickness of the screen will seem tiny, but you also get the impression that it is floating in the air, thanks to its mirrored backdrop.

Obviously, for this technological marvel, you will have to spend…a lot. The suggested retail price is $4,700 USD.

The first results of this partnership will be showcased at the Paris Motor Show, from September 30 to October 17. For the event, the Bang & Olufsen High-End Surround Sound System will be unveiled at the same time as the BMW 6 Series concept car.

The new audio system from Bang & Olufsen is distinguished by its Acoustic Lens Technology (ALT), which provides perfect sound distribution on 180 degrees horizontally. The system includes 16 speakers with aluminum grid covers bearing the Bang & Olufsen logo. The seven mid-range speakers, seven tweeters and two subwoofers located under the front seats ensure premium sound quality.
