NAD was founded at a meeting held in Europe back in 1972.

At that meeting there were eight people representing companies from the USA, France, United kingdom, Switzerland and Germany. They decided to start a new High Fidelity company. Founded in London by Martin Borish, they called the company NAD (New Acoustic Dimension).
